Kimberly Llerena

Instructor School of Communication

Kim Llerena is a photographic artist and educator based in Washington, D.C. Her work frequently examines dual implications of the medium: memory and aspiration, translation and description, art and snapshot. She was a semifinalist for the 2013 Sondheim Prize in Baltimore and 2014 finalist for the Trawick Prize in Bethesda, MD. She exhibits nationally and serves as term faculty and Visual Literacy Faculty Coordinator in the School of Communication at American University.
