• Tara Kocourek is the Manager of Photographic Services at American University School of Communications. A photographer based in Washington DC, she grew up as an expat in Japan, Australia and Thailand, and moved to Washington DC in 1998 to pursue an undergraduate degree in Visual Media and International Development at American University. Since 2002, Tara’s clients have included non-profits such as Oxfam, Miriam’s House, and Virginia Hospital Center Medical Brigade; commercial clients such as De*Nada Design and DC Modern Luxury Magazine; as well as private clients. Tara is a member of American Society of Media Professionals, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, and Women Photojournalists of Washington.
