Goals

For more than 30 years, the School of Communication has prepared students for careers in broadcast journalism. Students graduate with an impressive portfolio, strong digital skills allowing them to work across platforms and a finished audition tape.

Courses

The program provides a solid foundation in writing for multiple media, communication theory and professional ethics as well as substantial production experience as students write, shoot, and edit, all on deadline.

Resources

Our Broadcast Division boasts its own media production center, featuring AVID editing systems and the finest in video, audio and film equipment. Students also learn Final Cut Pro and produce multimedia stories and vblogs for the American Observer, the school's online news magazine.
