#MySOC Social Media Competition

mpc header

The winners have been announced in SOC's competition showcasing engagement in election 2016!

First place: Adrienne Salazar for a strong video and black and white still from a Sanders campaign event in New Hampshire.

Second place: David Kim for a great shot of himself on the set of MSNBC.

Third place: Veronica Bonilla for an Instagram post that captured the New Hampshire trip for many students.

Students were asked to capture their election-related internship, coursework, or volunteerism with a short title or caption then share on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using #MySOC. All of the winners, it turned out, were part of the SOC/SPA class that went to New Hampshire to cover the primaries alongside national reporters.

The winners have each won a networking opportunity with an SOC alum.

  • Salazar will be meeting with Communication Director for the House of Representatives, Liz Payne (SOC/MA '12)
  • Kim will connect with Deputy Press Secretary for the House of Representatives, Lauren Reddington (SOC/BA '12)
  • Bonilla will be talking to PAC and Government Relations Manager at Vanguard Alex Hula (SOC/BA '12), former House of Representatives legislative correspondent.
