Poynter and Columbia Journalism Review reported that John Sullivan will join SOC, serving in the dual role as a journalist-in-residence for AU’s Investigative Reporting Workshop and The Washington Post as an investigative journalist. Read more

Stack to Release New Book on Death Penalty
Journalism professor Richard Stack has an upcoming book Grave Injustice: Unearthing Wrongful Executions, due to be released in April. C-SPAN Book TV will be interviewing Stack Sunday March 31, at 1:25, and again Monday, April 1. Ben Jealous, President and CEO of the NAACP, cited Grave Injustice in his testimony before the State Senate Judicial Process Committee in Annapolis in February. Ben made the point that capital punishment has already cost innocent lives. Maryland stands an excellent chance of repealing the death penalty this legislative session.
