Dee Dee Myers, White House press secretary in the Clinton Administration, recently told students at the School of Public Affairs that successful political candidates convince voters that they share their values, keep their messages simple, and repeat them often. The talk was sponsored by SPA's Campaign Management Institute and Public Affairs and Advocacy Institute, and was part of a two-week program to train individuals for participation in local, state and federal political campaigns and advocacy campaigns.
