The School of Communication’s Partnerships and Projects office actively recruits partners to create mutually beneficial relationships. SOC is expanding a long-term relationship with the Washington Post to include Dean's Internships, a graduate fellowship and an investigative reporting practicum. A relationship with NBC4 resulted in student work appearing both on the website and local affiliate. Sharon Metcalf, senior director of the department, continues to establish new relationships and build upon SOC's long-standing partnerships with The Newseum, AP, Gannett, USA TODAY and many others.   • Strategic Partners: Long-standing, mutually beneficial partnerships that are officially recognized by both parties.
  • Dean's Internships: Distinguished competitive internships for students to earn bylines and production credits with national brand institutions.
  • Special Relationships: Valuable associations with prestigious institutions often centered on a special event.
  • Fellowship Sponsors: Organizations or individuals providing dedicated fellowships or internships for SOC students.
