AU enjoys a unique a partnership between three of its schools and 1776, a startup incubator platform based in Washington, D.C. The partnership serves as a vehicle for collaboration between 1776 and AU, where 1776 provides these AU academic units access to 1776 Campus programming and events as well as discounted memberships to select AU students.

These include entrepreneurship in media, the creation ofsustainable business, nonprofit and social entrepreneurial ventures,and the creation of social enterprises.
