ABOUT DEAN’S INTERNSHIPS
The Strategic Partnerships & Programs office launched the Dean's Internship program in 2011 to cultivate significant opportunities for exceptional SOC students to earn bylines, production credits and professional recognition for their work with nationally recognized partners. After working part-time during the academic year, Dean’s Interns are often invited back by their host partner to work full time for the summer or after graduation.
Undergraduate and graduate students may apply for Dean’s Internships by submitting an application package – to include resume, work samples, faculty referrals and completed application – for each designated position. Applicants are reviewed by the Dean’s Office and a faculty committee to identify candidates who best meet the host partner’s specified criteria. Final decisions are made by the partner in collaboration with the Dean and strategic partnership staff.
