- Develop a weekly time management plan with you Academic Advisor and attend a Time Management Workshop
- Attend Supplemental Instruction Workshops for courses such as ECON-100, ECON-200, MATH-211, and STAT-202
- Use your General Education courses to explore majors and minors at AU
- Visit the Writing Lab for help with developing written assignments
- Re-read the Freshmen Forgiveness policy
- Mid-October, begin to look at your Spring Registration To-Do List
Career
- Meet with a career counselor at the Career Center
- Research National Scholarships through the Office of Merit Awards
- Apply for summer jobs within your major of interest and meet with people within your community about real-world career opportunities

- Attend Welcome Week at AU!
- Attend the Student Activities Involvement Fair
- Research student activities on campus
- Scout out the organizations you want to join and the leadership positions that would be a good fit for you
- Find a volunteer opportunity!
