Facilities
The Wechsler Theater is located in Mary Graydon Center room 315. It is a 107-seat exhibition space that can accommodate the following motion picture media formats:
- DVD (NTSC)
- VHS (NTSC)
- Mini DV-Cam
- 16mm Film
- Old Audio Cassette Tapes
We can also host video conferences, project from a presenter's laptop computer and record events.
Schedule and Hours of Operation
The Wechsler Theater is generally open between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. We occasionally host events at other times, but this is the exception rather than the rule.
Below is a link to a calendar of classes and public events hosted in the Wechsler Theater. Some special events and times needed for room maintenance may not be visible to the general public on this schedule.

Reservation Policy
Generally speaking, the theater is used for SOC events and classes only. Groups that have an SOC co-sponsor and SOC students who want to use the space for a school-related project are sometimes permitted access. SOC classes, the Center for Environmental Filmmaking, and the Center for Social Media have priority usage of the Theater. There is a rental fee for non-SOC events. Reservations need to be booked through Jacques Ledbetter, Theater and Video Services Manager, whose contact information is listed below:
