Staff Profile: Lorenley Baez
A Tale of True AU
Lorenley Báez is one of American University’s outstanding success stories. Lorenley’s journey at AU started as an undergraduate student, where she participated in the Summer Transition Enrichment Program (STEP). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism but realized that her passions had changed since starting on the path toward a career in journalism.
Lorenley received her Graduate Certificate in Organizational Change from AU and then continued in her education at American by earning a Master of Arts in Public Administration and a Master of Science in Organizational Development. While completing her degrees, Lorenley worked as the Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs, where she continues to spread her energy and creativity.
Outside of Multicultural Affairs, Lorenley is the faculty advisor for the Latino & American Student Organization (LASO), the faculty advisor and member of Latinas Promoviendo Comunidad/Lambda Pi Chi Sorority, Incorporated, and the alumni advisor and founder of Latino Alumni Chapter of Washington Metropolitan Area.
Lorenley is an asset to American University students and staff with her unique and invaluable experience.
