2012 CCPS Events
One of our specialties at the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies is the study of lobbying reform in Washington DC. CCPS hosts seminars on lobbying reform efforts. In addition, our scholars and students have produced numerous papers and articles on lobbying reforms and our scholars have been interviewed by various media outlets about lobbying reform.

On Janurary 25th, CCPS hosted a discussion of the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire Primary results and celebrated Professor Candice Nelson’s new book, Grant Park: The Democratization of Presidential Elections 1968-2008.
CCPS Forum on Early State Primaries
CCPS as hosted a forum on early state primaries on Thursday December 1st from 3:30pm-5:00pm in Butler Boardroom.
Speakers included Glen Bolger, Partner at Public Opinion Strategies, Corey R. Lewandowski, State Director for Americans for Prosperity Foundation – New Hampshire, David Mark, Senior Editor at Politico, and Rob Richie, Executive Director at FairVote.

On October 26th, CCCPS and the Kay Spiritual Life Center hosted a lunchtime forum on the budget crisis.
The forum featured Scott Lilly, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress and Dean Baker, Co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research. It was moderated by Prof. James A. Thurber.
