Panel presentations provided brief overviews of recent and innovative academic research on voter registration and turnout, with discussion focused on how scholarly research can inform citizen engagement and policy-making. Topics included: the effects of election laws; information and participation; social media and social context; and research challenges in studying voter registration and turnout.
