What are Drug Courts?

Drug Courts are one of the criminal justice system's strongest resources. Thousands of lives have been directly impacted and changed due to these innovative court practices. Judge David Ashworth, a consultant for the BJA Drug Courts TA Project at American University, provides an answer to the often repeated question of what can the justice system do to address non-violent, drug addicted offenders.
