On October 18, 2011 members of the Key Executive Leadership Certificate Program with the Office of Inspectors General (OIG) for Experienced Leaders Cohort 8, Diane Cutler, Ruth Ann Dorrill, and Kari Overson, were honored by the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) at the 14th Annual CIGIE Awards.
Special Agent Diane Cutler was recognized as part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Care Reform Technical Assistance Team receiving the Glenn/Roth Award for Exemplary Service for their expert technical assistance to Congress throughout the health care reform legislative drafting process. Deputy Regional Inspector General Ruth Ann Dorrill was recognized as part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Adverse Event Evaluation Team receiving the Evaluations Award for Excellence for their landmark contributions to national patient safety initiatives by measuring the national incidence of adverse events in hospitals and associated costs to the Medicare program. Special Agent in Charge Kari Overson was recognized as part of Small Business Administration Investigations team receiving the Investigations Award for Excellence for outstanding achievement for successfully prosecuting several individuals involved in a large loan and insurance fraud scheme, resulting in a high dollar recovery and significant sentences for those involved.
The Key Executive Leadership Certificate Program for Inspectors General is a contract program with the Office of Inspectors General, providing specialized leadership training for both new and experienced leaders in the OIG community. Key congratulates the members of OIG Experienced Leader 8 in this achievement.
