Program Overview

Gap Intl Monument

Each semester in the AU Gap Program includes an internship and a seminar course, for a total of seven undergraduate credits. You have the option to enroll in a single semester (fall or spring) or take a year-long program.

Fall Semester:

Seminar (American Politics or Global Business) – 3 credits
Mentored Field Practicum (Internship and in-class course) – 4 credits

Spring Semester:

Seminar (American Politics or International Affairs) – 3 credits
Mentored Field Practicum (Internship and in-class course) – 4 credits

Summer Program:

Coming in Summer 2017, AU Gap will also be offering a two to three week non-credit Summer Study for rising juniors, seniors, and recent high school graduates. Open to both domestic and international applicants, students will experience an international capital through seminars, guest speakers, and site-visits, gaining a global awareness during their time at AU.

*Please note: there is no internship component during the summer program.
