Summer Program Admissions

American University’s Graduate Gateway Program Summer Intensive has rolling admissions, which means you can submit an application anytime up to the deadline. Once an application is submitted, we will review it and notify you of our decision within a couple weeks. 

Graduate Gateway is a selective academic and experiential learning program. Due to the limited number of spaces, candidates who receive an admission offer have approximately 3 weeks to place a deposit to join the program. Deadlines for the Summer 2015 program will be available at a later date.

In addition to the online application applicants must submit either electronically or via mail:
  • Official Undergraduate transcript(s) and graduate transcript(s) if applicable
  • Professional Resume

 You are welcome to submit additional materials, including letters of recommendation or additional personal statements to strengthen your application. If you choose to provide additional materials to support your application, please email with the intention of submitting the materials prior to submitting your application for review.

If you choose to mail your documents (resume, transcript, and supporting materials), via United States Postal Service (USPS) please send them directly to our Program Office at:
