Managing Director, Global Assignment Services, Aperian Global
As Managing Director, Global Assignment Services, Laurette Bennhold-Samaan is responsible for Aperian Global’s strategy to ensure delivery of high quality global mobility solutions for clients worldwide. Laurette has twenty-five years of experience in world-class companies. Her expertise is in business alignment, strategic planning, policy development, training management, and partnering with corporate, government, educational, and international organizations.
Most recently, Laurette was Accenture’s Senior Manager of Global Mobility, responsible for mobility strategy and policy worldwide where she designed, developed and implemented mobility programs and supported 15,000 cross-border assignments annually. At The World Bank, she co-created the Global Mobility Department, supporting professionals and their families in preparing for assignments in over 100 countries. Previously, as the first Cross-Cultural Specialist with the Peace Corps, she co-authored the first cross-cultural training workbooks, coordinated support for cross-cultural training in over 90 countries, and managed and coached host country nationals. ?
Ms. Bennhold-Samaan is a frequent speaker on international mobility at global conferences and symposia. She was recently nominated for Global Mobility Professional of the Year Award at the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) and sits on the advisory council for the Employee Relocation Council (ERC). She has been adjunct faculty with the University of Maryland International Division in Europe and holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs focusing on cross-cultural communications and international business. She has lived in Germany and Canada and currently resides in Washington, DC.
