Luke works in international media, news, and online media; managing national, international and grassroots projects for non-profit associations and private industry. Luke created, executive produced, and directed Back from the Brink, Layalina’s most recent feature-length documentary that examines violent extremist movements in Los Angeles, Lebanon, and Pakistan through the perspective of its former members and the community leaders and educators who are facilitating their peaceful rehabilitation. Luke was also Executive Producer and Director for Layalina’s Al-Sa’at, the first international co-production with the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel. In addition to his work with Layalina, Luke serves as President of ProWeb Solutions, a web and software development company; a partner of NAM Productions, a Hollywood feature film production company; and as a strategic consultant for companies such as APCO Worldwide and New Media Strategies. Prior to joining Layalina, Luke worked in Hollywood for Industry Entertainment as Chief Project Manager of the Empower Network, the first-ever real-time production management system for the major motion picture industry. Luke also previously produced, directed, and edited music videos and ads for Arista Records, Dreamworks, Roc La Familia Records, and a documentary from the African Great Lakes region about music healing the wounds of ethnic warfare. Luke has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from New York University with a minor in Journalism. He is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of German and Portuguese.
