Travel across the Atlantic for a field practicum on policy, business, and trade within the European Union. Our study trip will include visits to Brussels, the center of European government and the world's largest common market. Students will engage with speakers at the European Parliament, European Commission, and the European Council. Time permitting, we will visit Antwerp, with its famed diamond bourses, markets and port; and, the medieval cities of Bruges and Ghent.
In Paris, we will meet with global corporations, such as the Publicis Groupe, BNP Paribus, Disney, and Microsoft, and visit the International Court of Arbitration, along with a seminar at the OECD. The program also visits architectural landmarks in Paris including the Notre Dame de Paris cathedral, the Napoleonic Arc de Triomphe, and the Eiffel Tower.
We will also visit London, Europe's most global city and the world's second largest financial center. Some of the sites we have visited in the past include the Lloyd's insurance market, as well as prominent financial and consulting companies such as KPMG, the Bank of England, and UK Trade and Investment. Time permitting, our visit will include a trip to Cambridge, England, as well as cultural sites in London such as the Tower of London, Westminster, and the incomparable, British Museum.
