More than 40,000 students have participated in the Washington Semester Program since it was introduced in 1947. Our alumni play many important roles in our program including participating alumni events, encouraging others to participate in our programs, serving as mentors and internship supervisors, and as guest speakers.
Alumni network and events
Alumni can join our WSP network for occasional email updates, invitations to alumni events, and newsletters. Alumni should email name, program and year participated, current email, professional update (optional), and current city of residence to email@example.com.
Supporting our program
As Washington Semester Alumni, you are an essential part of the Washington Semester Program. By telling your friends, family, faculty, and university administrators about your Washington Semester experience, you have sustained the Washington Semester Program for nearly 60 years.
There are many ways that you can support our program. We would welcome your assistance in marketing to your home school or communicating with prospective students. If you live in the DC region, please let us know if you are interested in being an internship supervisor for a WSP student or in serving as a guest speaker.
We are also looking for alums to organize social events in their hometowns to help us build our alumni networks. And finally, we are seeking alums to profile on our website and in our newsletters. If you would like to organize an event or share your professional accomplishments / service projects, please let us know.
For any of the above or additional suggestions on how we can enhance our alumni programs, email - firstname.lastname@example.org.
