American University Commencement
 
During its 122nd commencement on Sunday, May 11, more than 1,900 students from five of AU's schools and colleges heard words of wisdom from lawyer Vernon E. Jordan, scientist Sylvia Earle, and journalist Ken Paulson. Read, listen and watch their commencement addresses.

  President's Award goes to stellar science student
 

Patrick Sullivan, a biology major in the College of Arts and Sciences with a 3.96 GPA, was selected by President Kerwin as the 2008 President's Award recipient-the highest honor that AU bestows on an undergraduate.
