Joe Grimme

Originally from Sharpsille, IN, Joe grew up on a farm raising animals in the 4-H club.  In high school and college he found a huge interest in Music and Media.  He is very involved in the theater community on the AU campus acting and directing, and in the DC area performance community.  He is an 8 year member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, sings in three quartets, is a member of the DC Singing Capital Chorus, and is still a member of the first chorus he sang with in the Kokomo, IN - The Men of Note. Joe's film "Still Singing" won Best Documentary at the Visions Film Festival in 2007 and "Ecoviews" won an Emmy in 2008.  Both films received airplay on PBS in the DC and Maryland viewing areas.

Degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with Minors in Marketing and Music from Indiana university. Master of Fine Arts in Film and Electronic Media from American University.  Currently in the Master of Arts in Teaching program in the School of Education Teaching and Health at American University for certification in Music and Visual Media Arts Education.
