Preparation for a Masters degree in International Affairs

Program includes:

  • Graduate Seminar in American Foreign Policy (3 credits)
  • Graduate Course Elective within the School of International Service (3 credits)
  • International Affairs Internship in Washington (three days per week)
  • Faculty hold academic appointments in the School of International Service

The Seminar in American Foreign Policy

The three credit graduate seminar provides a conceptual and practical understanding of the foreign policy challenges to U.S. policy makers in the 21st century. Through exposure to decision makers and experts at the State, Defense, and Intelligence establishments, Congress, think tanks, advocacy groups, embassies, and international organizations, students receive an interactive academic class in the world of foreign policy making. Along with the internship, the course helps prepare graduate students for a career in international relations.
