Program Requirements

All prospective students must:

  • Be approved by an AU partner organization
  • Hold a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Provide valid proof of English Language Proficiency (Official TOEFL or IELTS results)

* Please note that all application materials must be received in the Abroad at AU office by the application deadline.

Application Steps

Step 1: Be approved through one of our partner organizations or institutions to study abroad for a semester or year

Step 2: Submit the Online Application

Step 3: Admissions and Visa Support Documents

Once your application is complete, Abroad at AU will review it and send an admissions decision by email.

Within two weeks of admission, you must commit to the program and pay a $500 confirmation deposit.

Admissions packets, including a hard copy of acceptance letter and DS-2019 to apply for the J1 student visa, are sent to students' home university or program provider after the $500 confirmation deposit is paid.
