American University is closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation in the United States and around the world, and taking all necessary steps to protect the health and wellbeing of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. On March 10, AU announced that all class will temporarily move to online platforms following spring break until Monday, April 6. In response to the continued spread of COVID-19 and university’s announcement, the Office of Enrollment is cancelling all confirmed Day Visits, as well as suspending further coordination of Day Visits to American University for the spring 2020 semester.

Day visits are designed to give you a glimpse of the true college experience. You will have the opportunity to sit in on a class with a current American University student and have lunch in our dining hall. You may choose to take a tour or attend an information session. We try to accommodate individual preferences but you may need to be flexible due to class and advisor availability.
Who can participate in a day visit?
Day Visits are open to high school juniors and seniors, as well as prospective transfer students. Please note, during the month of April, only admitted high school seniors will be able to participate in a day visit. During that month, Day Visits are not available for denied high school seniors, high school juniors, or transfer students.
CANCELLED: Spring 2020 Day Visits
In response to the continued spread of COVID-19 and university’s announcement, the Office of Enrollment is cancelling all confirmed Day Visits, as well as suspending further coordination of Day Visits to American University for the rest of the spring 2020 semester.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but our top priority is to support the health and wellbeing of our community.
If you are still interested in visiting American University, we are still offering information sessions as part of our campus visit experience.
We do not offer day visits during the summer months.
