Black Alumni Student Reunion FAQs

Attendance at most Black Alumni & Student Reunion events is free. Tickets to Saturday's Gala & Dinner are $50 for alumni and guests.

If you need to cancel or change your registration, please submit a written request to alumni@american.edu by Friday, March 27. Refunds (if applicable) will be granted only for written cancellations received via email by Friday, March 27. We regret that we will be unable to refund fees after this date. All refunds are subject to a 2.6% credit card processing fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your refund to be processed.

To inquire about access or sign language interpretation, contact the Academic Support and Access Center at asac@american.edu or 202-885-3360. For any other special need, including dietary restrictions, please email alumni@american.edu

This is a recreational weekend. Attire is business casual for most activities. Cocktail attire is encouraged for the dinner and gala. 

Final parking information will be sent to all registered guests a few days prior to Black Alumni and Student Reunion. A parking code is required only on Friday, April 3, and will not be required on Saturday and Sunday.

Yes, most definitely! Children can join in some of the weekend's activities, especially the welcome reception and the Diaspora Celebration.
