Data Privacy Symposium

The Data Privacy Symposium hosted by the AU Internet Governance Lab in partnership with the Internet Society Washington, DC Chapter (ISOC-DC) explores the problem, path, and promise of data privacy and surveillance. Featuring a keynote speaker and multiple panels of experts, the event's discussion will focus on current and emerging issues in data privacy, including public perception of data privacy, implications of GDPR and a possible data privacy framework in the US, the relationship between Internet governance and data privacy, and the human rights implications of the privacy debate.
