Mix and mingle with artists, curators and fellow museum patrons at the opening of six new exhibitions: Tethered to the Cradle: Kinetic Work by Christopher Carter on view in the sculpture garden; large-scale narrative paintings in William Woodward: The Seven Deadly Sins; site-specific installations in Twist — Layer — Pour: Sondra N. Arkin, Joan Belmar, Mary Early; an East-West arts initiative organized by CARAVAN I AM; Arab modern and contemporary works from the Barjeel Art Foundation in Between two rounds of fire, the exile of the sea; and in the Alper Initiative for Washington Art Making a Scene: The Jefferson Place Gallery.
Come early! From 5-6 pm, hear a gallery talk by curators from the Barjeel Art Foundation.
Free and open to all. Free parking in the Katzen Arts Center garage.
