Ms. Hiba Arshad Anwar has worked in 23 countries on international development programs for both the public and the private sector over the last twelve years. She specializes in gender, migration, and finance in education. Ms. Anwar’s current research focuses on the political economy of remittances and education. She also works with the Pearl Foundation, a community-based NGO focused on education development for low income areas in South Asia. Ms. Anwar has previously worked with the American Red Cross, USAID, IBM, and Ernst & Young on program and financial management. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from George Washington University, and is pursuing a PhD in International Education Policy at the University of Maryland, College Park.
