Dr. Jenna Sablan’s research focuses on higher education policy, college access, and the K–12 to higher education transition.
She previously served as the inaugural 2016–17 American Educational Research Association (AERA)/American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Congressional Fellow, where she worked on higher education finance and college affordability policy for the Senate Budget Committee.
Dr. Sablan’s publications include works on college readiness, cultural capital, and summer bridge programs. She received her Ph.D. in Urban Education Policy and M.A. in Economics from University of Southern California, where she was a Provost Fellow, and her B.A. in Social Policy, B.A. in Political Science, and Certificate in Advanced Leadership Studies from American University, where she was a Ronald E. McNair Scholar.
