  • Daniel has spent most of his life in the DC metro area growing up in Columbia, MD. Daniel acts as the Sexual Assault Prevention Coordinator for American University‚Äôs Wellness Center in McCabe Hall. Daniel also acts as a confidential victim advocate, wherein he serves students, staff, and faculty members, providing resources for victims of sexual violence, dating violence, or stalking. He is a confidential resource on campus for any student, staff, or faculty who has been directly or indirectly affected by an unwanted sexual experience, an abusive relationship, or stalking/harassing behaviors. Daniel also supervises two student groups on campus aimed toward educating American University on important issues surrounding sexual violence and abuse. These groups are the Peer Educators for the Elimination of Relationship and Sexual Violence, and the Men of Strength group on campus. The Peer Educators for the Elimination of Relationship and Sexual Violence (PEERS) facilitate workshops and discussions for any clubs, residence hall floors, classes, and organizations that request them on topics such as healthy communication and consent, unhealthy and healthy relationships, stalking, and sexual violence. The Men of Strength (MOST) club works to engage college and university men in preventing violence against women, developing and supporting healthy masculinity, and sustainably organizing to create campuses and cultures free from violence. MOST provides free pizza and soda at their weekly meetings.
