Bio
Stephen Masson’s (he/him/his) research investigates the way in which social identities structurally and individually impact, constrain and enable interpersonal relationship. Most often this take the form of work on Race and Gender in the United States. More recently my interests have shifted to exploring these questions in relation to the formation and maintenance of the State or Society as defined in the western tradition. Currently I teach a class on ethics that attempts to demonstrate how major questions of Western ethics imply major questions about systemic and global oppression.
