Brent Stansell is a theatre educator, dramaturg, actor, and solo performance artist. He currently teaches at American University, The George Washington University and The Catholic University of America, and as an affiliated teaching artist with the Shakespeare Theatre Company, Folger Theatre, Round House Theatre, and Imagination Stage. Brent has also taught at Montgomery College, and Brooklyn College, where he completed an MFA in Dramaturgy. Brent has written and produced The Tea Party Project, The Palin Project, and his solo performance piece My Fabulous Sex Life with his company, DC Theatre Collective. As a professional dramaturg, he has worked with the Crown Point Festival in New York, Moisés Kaufman of Tectonic Theater Project, solo performer Josh Lefkowitz, The Inkwell, and Forum Theatre in DC. Brent has worked as an actor at Round House Theatre, Rorschach Theatre, and Ganymede Arts, among others, including National Player’s Tour 55 out of the Olney Theatre Center.
