Film Screening: Unsent Letter at the Russian Embassy

In Mikhail Kalatozov's classic *Unsent Letter* (1959) a guide and three geologists search for diamonds. After a long and perilous journey through beautiful Siberian wilderness, a terrible forest fire traps them and triggers a struggle for survival to deliver a map of their findings to Moscow. The screening coincides with the AU Katzen Museum's exhibit "Siberia in the Eyes of Russian Photographers," which the IRC is proud to support.

This event at the Russian Embassy is open to all AU and DC Consortium undergraduate and graduate students with their guests, who must RSVP individually via by noon on Tuesday, November 12. Please include your school affiliation and graduate or undergraduate status. Students must bring their university and government-issued IDs. Business attire is required. Transportation from AU, Georgetown, GW, and UMD (College Park) will be arranged. Please see below for pick-up times and locations. Transportation from other schools will depend upon demand.

Please note that you will enter through the Tunlaw Gate, 2641 Tunlaw Road NW.

Shuttle Times and Locations
Times listed below are departure times. Please be at the pick-up location before the departure time.

American University: 5:50 pm at the main Shuttle Stop (behind Letts Hall, the southern edge of campus)
University of Maryland (College Park): 5:15 pm at the Stamp Student Union Building, Lot HH
Georgetown University: 5:50 pm in Lot 3 by the tennis courts
George Washington University 5:45 pm at 22nd and G Streets, NW
Howard University: 5:45 pm at the 6th Street entrance of the Mordecai Johnson Administrative Building.
George Mason University: 5:00 pm at the Sandy Creek Shuttle Stop.
University of Maryland, Baltimore County: 4:30 pm at Hilltop Circle at the Flagpole.

Return shuttles: Return shuttles will leave the Embassy no later than 10:30 pm for all universities. Please be at the curb outside the Tunlaw entrance to the Embassy in time to board before 10:30 pm.
