Pomnyun Sunim

On September 18, American University’s Asian Studies program and the Department of Philosophy and Religion co-hosted a question and answer session with Venerable Pomnyun Sunim. Venerable Pomnyun Sunim is not only known for spreading the teachings of Buddhism, but also his humanitarian efforts in North Korea and environmental activism. Students were able to ask Ven. Pomnyun any questions they had about their life or about Buddhism. This is the third time Ven. Pomnyun has visited American University and held a question and answer session.
