On Campus
Pre-Health Society
Pre-health students at American University know how to have fun, especially when the Pre-Health Society is involved. The student-run organization is open to any student interested in a profession in the health fields. The group carries out a number of events each semester, both on campus and at other organizations in the D.C. area. Events range from inviting AU alumni to speak about their experiences in medical school, to conducting a pillow fight on the main quad to raise money for breast cancer research, to playing games with children at the Children’s National Medical Center. The Pre-Health Society also organizes visits to local medical schools and hosts an MCAT preparatory course on campus.
