WATESOL Fall Conference

The WATESOL Fall Conference took place on Saturday, November 4. Dr. Polina Vinogradova was an invited speaker, presenting on “Innovation with Digital Storytelling: Creating Multimodal Advocacy Spaces for Multilingual Voices.” Dr. Sarah Knowles co-presented with AU graduate student in Data Sciences Yu-Yu Chen and School Without Walls high school senior Jaelyn Jackson. Their presentation was titled “‘The Hidden Secrets of English Fluency Unveiled’: What English Learning Looks Like on YouTube.” MA TESOL alumna Xinxin Wang presented her doctoral research on a science museum program for multilingual learners.

And Congratulations to MA TESOL alumna Debora Amidani who played a significant role as WATESOL PD Co-Chair in designing and implementing the conference this year!
