Language and Area Studies: Italian/Europe (Minor)

Offered by the Department of World Languages and Cultures, College of Arts and Sciences.

Minor Requirements

  • 24 credit hours with grades of C or better, a minimum of 9 credit hours at or above the 300-level, and at least 12 credit hours unique to the minor

Course Requirements

Language (12 credit hours)

  • 12 credit hours in Italian (ITAL-xxx) at or above the 200-level, including two courses at or above the 300-level

Area Studies (12 credit hours)

Note: Consult Language and Area Studies program advisor for approval of courses for this minor.

  • 3 credit hours (one course) at or above the 300-level from offerings by the School of International Service
  • 3 credit hours (one course) from history (HIST-xxx)
  • 6 credit hours in other approved coursework in area studies
