Celebrating Teaching at American University: Best Practices Teaching Best Practices Guide

"Celebrating Teaching at American University: Best Practices" is a compilation of best practices in the classroom that was prepared for CTRL by Marilyn Goldhammer, Adjunct Professor and Consultant in Residence in the School of Education.

Goldhammer interviewed faculty across campus to pull together a best practices guide. The publication is divided into three sections:

  • Creating a Course Syllabus
  • Who Are Your Students?
  • Engaging Students in the Learning Process

(Please note: on pages 24, 26, 30, and 31, the separate offices of ASC and DSS are now one office called the Academic Support and Access Center.)

Accessibility

CTRL is committed to providing services to all faculty and staff regardless of disability and we will coordinate ways to bring services to an accessible location. Request an accessible meeting (x2117).
