Enrollment Verification
Students may need to provide proof of their current enrollment from American University to a prospective employer, an insurance company, or other organizations.
Current students may access the National Student Clearinghouse through the portal and print their own enrollment verification for a current semester.
Students may also print an advanced registration certificate for a future fall or spring semester in which they have already registered.
A certification is an official document that verifies student academic standing, attendance dates, degrees awarded, anticipated graduation date.
Students may obtain a letter of certification or verification of their enrollment from AU Central. Requests must be in writing and include: your name, Student ID number, dates of attendance, an explanation of what you want the University to certify, your signature and the complete address for where you want the letter of certification to be mailed.
Please allow two (2) to four (4) working days for processing. Please allow additional time during grading periods and at the beginning of each school year.
Advance registration data is transmitted to NSC for fall and spring registration only after priority registration has concluded, but prior to the beginning of the next semester. If you need advance registration enrollment verification immediately, please contact AU Central for assistance.
AU updates enrollment verification with the National Student Clearinghouse monthly. Your current status will be reported to your loan providers shortly.
