Commencement Tickets

Because of limited seating in Bender Arena, tickets are required for guest admittance to certain ceremonies. Graduates participating in the ceremony will not need a ticket for themselves. Children under age 3 who will be sitting in an adult's lap during the entire ceremony do not require a ticket. If the child needs a seat of their own, they will require a ticket.

Graduates who do not need all of their tickets and have not promised them to friends or classmates can turn them back in during ticket pick-up for redistribution.

Graduates seeking additional tickets have two options available to them:

  1. Ask friends or classmates participating in their ceremony if they have any extra tickets to share.
  2. Sign up on the "ticket wait list" for the chance to receive one additional ticket. Students will be contacted if a ticket becomes available. We do not know how many tickets will be available if any. Wait list sign up information will be sent to graduates who have ordered their regalia.

To claim tickets, a student must appear in person with their AU ID or other photo ID and regalia order confirmation at the location listed on Dates & Deadlines. Lost tickets will not be replaced. Commencement tickets are not to be bought or sold for any reason.

Fall 2019

Tickets are required for guest admittance to the Fall Commencement ceremony. An allotment of four (4) tickets will be distributed to each student who has ordered regalia and registered to participate in the ceremony.

Live remote viewing on campus will be available for guests without tickets, and the ceremony will be live streamed on this website.

Fall Remote Viewing Location: Kogod Building, Rooms 118, 233, and 234
