2019 Form W-2 Availability and 2020 Withholding Tax Exemption Deadline

2019 W-2 and 1095-C dates


Your 2019 Form W-2 is now available if you elected to receive the form electronically. To access your 2019 Electronic Form W-2:

  • Login to
  • Go to Personalized Links, click “Work@AU”
  • Click “W-2 Statements” and select year 2019

Your Form W-2 will load in your web browser as a PDF file. If the file does not display correctly, try using a different browser such as Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, or Google Chrome.

If you opted not to receive your Form W-2 electronically or did not complete the consent form, a paper version will be mailed to your home address by January 31.

If you would like to change the method by which you receive your Form W-2 in the future:

  • Login to
  • Go to Personalized Links, click “Work@AU”
  • Click “W-2 Electronic Consent” 
  • Select either the Opt-In (electronic) or Opt-Out (paper) and click “Submit"

Important Information for Individuals Claiming Payroll Tax Withholding Exemption

If you currently are claiming exempt from tax withholdings on your paycheck and would like to continue exempt status in 2020, you must submit a new W-4 and/or appropriate state form (blank forms available here:

If you do not submit a 2020 tax form, taxes will be withheld from your paycheck.

  • Bi-weekly and Monthly employees must submit forms to Payroll by January 31.
  • Submit forms via US mail, campus mail, or in person to:

FORM 1095-C, Employer-Provided Health Insurance Offer and Coverage

In addition to the W-2, AU faculty and staff who were eligible for AU-sponsored medical coverage at any time during calendar year 2019 will receive a Form 1095-C mailed to their home by the end of February. The form is required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and provides documentation to support your income tax filing for 2019. Kaiser medical plan participants also will receive a Form 1095-B directly from Kaiser.
