Alumni Association Book Awards

Alumni Alliances award $500 book scholarships each year to high-achieving undergraduate students who demonstrate strong connections to their respective communities through student leadership, service, and/or strong academic performance.

Both the Black Alumni Alliance (BAA) and the Latino Alumni Alliance (LAA) offer book awards for which any student may apply. The Asian Pacific Islander Alumni Network (APIAN) is raising funds for a similar book award designed to expand these opportunities for the AU community.

For more information about the application process or how to give, contact Edwina Simms, senior director of multicultural and affinity engagement, at esimms@american.edu.

Awards are renewable annually provided recipients remain enrolled at the university and continue to meet eligibility requirements.
