In partnership with the SIS Board of Advisors, Dean Christine BN Chin and the School of International Service are proud to unveil the newly-established SIS Global Leadership Society.
Through their generosity, SIS Global Leadership Society members further our mission of inclusivity by providing our students with funding for scholarships, internship opportunities, and study abroad experiences. The collective support of the Global Leadership society advances the values core to our institution, creating a school that is more equitable, more accessible, and more innovative.
At the School of International Service, our mission is clear: we are a human-centered school dedicated to the service and betterment of humanity. Our values are core to everything we do as an institution. They guide our research questions, our conversations in the classroom, and the professional trajectories of our students.
During their time at SIS, our students receive a holistic education, empowering them to boldly enter the world as catalysts for positive change. Distinguished faculty and practitioners-in-residence arm our students with the knowledge to understand the greatest crises of the 21st century; internships at the world’s top organizations provide them with the skillsets to address these crises; and study abroad experiences offer first-hand perspectives on the local complexities at play. An SIS education prepares students for careers of true impact.
None of these transformative experiences are possible, however, without the support of our alumni community. Alumni are an indispensable pillar to our success. “Now more than ever, we need your support as we work to prepare the next generation of students for lives as changemakers and peacebuilders,” says SIS Dean Christine BN Chin. “That is why, in my first year as permanent dean, I am calling on you to ‘come home.’”
Dean Chin invites you—our alumni, parents, friends, and stakeholders—to join the SIS Global Leadership Society as an inaugural member, “You have an essential role in shaping the future for SIS, and your support is crucial to advancing our School’s greatest aspirations… Together, we can develop and claim SIS’s global presence and footprint.”
You can join the SIS Global Leadership Society today. Your generous contribution will further Dean Chin’s global vision for the School of International Service and support our students—the next generation of global leaders dedicated to the service and betterment of humanity.
