AhealthyU Fitness Classes bring fitness opportunities to you in partnership with the Recreational Sports and Fitness department. AhealthyU also offers 2 complimentary fitness consultations for all full-time AU faculty and staff.
Recreational Sports and Fitness offers a variety of memberships options to AU faculty and staff. Memberships include access to the Jacobs Fitness Center, Cassell Fitness Center, recreational swim in Reeves Aquatic Center, and open court in Bender Arena. Additional services offered by Recreational Sports and Fitness include group exercise classes, personal training, and special events.
Our exercise database contains videos and descriptions on how to perform more than 20 simple exercises using only a balance ball or resistance band. Learn how to work your chest, back, arms, legs, and core while enhancing balance and stability.
Recreational Sports and Fitness offers various yoga, pilates, and martial arts classes focused on the mind-body connection. These classes emphasize internal focus and self awareness. Rec Sports also offers a variety of Group Fitness classes that meet many different exercise interests and needs. Individual and season passes are available.
