MS Accounting, Full-time
Undergraduate Institution: American University
Current Internship: Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Research Analyst Intern
Campus Involvement: President, Kogod Accounting Club; AU Diplomats
Kogod Decision Criteria: After growing up in Tel Aviv, Israel and serving as an International Affairs Officer in the Israeli Navy, I was seeking a small to medium size school located in a city with international awareness. American University was the perfect fit. In my second semester I took a class in the Kogod School of Business and fell in love with the faculty's professionalism, student involvement, and proactive approach. I decided to enroll in the five year program to earn both my BS and MS Accounting degrees.
Kogod Value: Kogod's biggest advantages include small classes, internship and job opportunities, as well a network of alumni and resources designed to prepare its students to be successful. I had the opportunity to take part in KPMG's Discover Program and accepted an internship offer for next summer with KPMG in their commercial audit practice.
I found the five year program ideal for my needs and exactly what I was looking for in a graduate program. The MSA program allows me to meet the CPA exam requirements and achieve 150 academic credits, take advantage of a simplified application process and stay in a school I already know and feel belong to.
