- Professor Sachs teaches business communications and business ethics. In addition, she teaches in SIS's graduate program in social enterprise and its online master's program in international relations. She has more than 25 years of professional communications experience in the public and private sectors. In her work for the federal government, she developed award-winning public policy campaigns, many in collaboration with Fortune 500 companies and not-for-profit organizations. She has worked as a news producer for public television, run her own small publishing business, and done field work in the Middle East. Professor Sachs began teaching at American University in 2005 and received an award for outstanding teaching. In addition to her teaching at AU, she has taught law students at the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, Peking University's School of Transnational Law, and Georgetown University Law Center.
