Bio
Dr. Jacoby enjoys teaching and has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, and auditing. His current research focuses on the internal control systems of not-for-profit organizations and the containment of health care costs. Dr. Jacoby has served American University as Chair of the Accounting Department, Associate Dean of the Kogod School of Business, and Chair of the University Faculty Senate. He is currently the faculty representative to the Audit Committee of the University Board of Trustees and Chair of the Kogod Educational Policy Committee. Prior to joining the AU faculty Dr. Jacoby was a CPA in auditing and consulting practice with Price Waterhouse & Co.
